Amy M. Ortega, MD Aesthetic Specialists of Atlanta

Dr. Amy M. Ortega is a board-certified, double-fellowship trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a unique combination of expertise in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body. While Dr. Ortega is specialty trained in breast surgery, cosmetic surgery and oculoplastic (eyelid) surgery, she is best known for bringing SPAIR short-scar breast surgery to the South.

After completing an advanced five-year residency combining general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Ortega then completed fellowships in both aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery (where she learned the SPAIR), and cosmetic and oculoplastic surgery. Dr. Ortega is the only plastic surgeon in the country to have completed both of these unique and prestigious surgical fellowships.

As a recognized expert in cosmetic and breast surgery, Dr. Ortega is a frequent media source. Most recently, the Fox 5 News Team produced a segment about SPAIR short-scar breast surgery, interviewing Dr. Ortega and her patient, following the doctor and patient through surgery and recovery. All The Hits Q100's The Bert Show recently invited Dr. Ortega on the air to talk about breast surgery, where she answered numerous call-in questions from listeners and discussed the answers in detail with Bert and his team. She has also appeared as a guest on Fox 5's Good Day Atlanta, and been interviewed by Jason Bailey on the KICKS 101.5 morning show and Ryan Cameron on the HOT 107.9 morning show.
